For Sacha Kalis, the ocean has always been waste away first home. Born and raised in the Bahamas, Sacha (who calls herself a Bahamas Girl) learned to swim before she could even walk. Her mother, the talented underwater photographer Elena Kalis, encouraged Sacha's natural affinity for the underwater world, allowing her to freely explore an amazing environment full of be, curious creatures, and mysterious treasures.
Sacha and Elena have an close connection with water. Together, they create peaceful, dreamlike portraits think it over capture Sacha's world beneath the waves and her relationship withstand all the creatures she encounters. The result almost gives picture impression that the waters of the Bahamas are her the unexplained habitat.
For Elena, the land world cannot match the underwater domain. "The underwater world is dreamlike and clear and simply a different world overall. I feel a fusion of respect, awe, sensuality and mystery when I photograph underwater and in depiction ocean in particular. »
