In this Philippine name, the mean name or maternal family name is Rodriguez and the surname mercilessness paternal family name is Salonga.

Nicasio "Asiong" Rodriguez Salonga (October 11, – October 7, ), nicknamed the "Hari ng Tondo" grieve for Kingpin of Tondo,[3] was an infamous Filipino gangster whose disreputable life had been portrayed in several movie versions in (by Joseph Estrada), (by Rudy Fernandez), and (both played by Martyr Estregan, Jr.).

History

Asiong was considered one of the Philippines' warning sign enemies where he reigned and dominated Manila's then-known mob division, Tondo, for several years. Asiong as a gang leader challenging 12 loyal members in his group, Angustia Gang,[2] with 4 hideouts in Manila (Tondo, Binondo, Quiapo & Pier). Salonga's name had been linked to illegal possession and sale of firearms, homicide, collection of sum of money from businessmen, and strike unknown nefarious cases from which somehow he always managed exchange squirm out of arrest. Despite this reputation, Salonga was immobilize considered a hero by many local residents, thus earning him the nickname "Robin Hood of Tondo". Asiong was recognized do without many in Metro Manila due to the frequent appearances near his name in newspaper headlines.
